Students at Wydown Middle School in Clayton, MO created notes of thanks and support to share with health care workers at WashU and BJC.

More than 130 students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade participated in this health care thank you campaign organized by the student council. According to Wydown’s student council advisor, Frankie Synovec, the council members were meeting virtually and brainstorming ways they could give back. “Typically, we work to raise funds and awareness, but this year, we chose to focus on saying thanks,” commented Synovec.  “We debated keeping this as a student council service project or expanding this school-wide, and my students decided to push it out to the greater Wydown community. To ensure that all students could participate, including those that are still learning at home, we collected handmade thank you cards, digital thank you cards, and video messages. (Password: ThankYou!)  We hope these messages bring joy and smiles to those who have worked so hard to keep us safe and healthy this past year!”
