Equalize is a virtual mentor program and pitch competition designed to take national action around the disparity of women academic inventors forming university startups. This mentorship and education program culminates in a one-day virtual pitch event on September 22, 2021. The program selects, coaches, and promotes academic women inventors with startup technologies to engage the investor and corporate community, build networks, and create a sustainable effort to drive women-founded university startups.
Equalize is focused on academic women in the therapeutics, med tech, and physical science sectors and will provide education on startups and pitching, individual sessions with a dedicated mentor, and preparation for a final pitch to an audience of investors, peers, and other supporters of advancing academic women entrepreneurship.
This event is hosted by Washington University in St. Louis & Osage University Partners. Applications are due December 31, 2020.
