Dr. Mutneja received her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New-Delhi, India. She subsequently completed internal medicine residency at the University of Florida where she won the Research Day Award in the medical trainee category. In 2013, she was recruited to join the Washington University Nephrology Fellowship Program. She graduated from our program in 2015, and subsequently spent four years in a private nephrology group in Iowa, where she was also Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa. We recruited Dr. Mutneja back to Washington University where she was appointed Assistant Professor on the Clinician Track in July 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic led Dr. Mutneja to resign from her position in the spring of 2021. After nearly one year off, she was enthusiastic about returning to the faculty. Her key interests are hospital medicine, inpatient care, and infectious diseases.
