Hunter Cassidy Cochran, MD

Hunter Cassidy Cochran, MDHematology-Oncology Fellow, was recently awarded a Lymphoma Research Foundation Grant as well as an Abstract Achievement Award for her poster shared at ASH205.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation awarded Cochran a two year grant for her project on using personalized neoantigen vaccines in follicular lymphoma. The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s mission is to realize the promise of science to eradicate lymphoma and serve the community touched by this disease. Since its inception, the Foundation has made significant contributions to the lymphoma research enterprise, awarding over 500 research grants totaling more than $82.7 million. The Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), comprised of 45 world-renowned lymphoma experts, guides the Foundation’s research activities, seeking out the most innovative and promising lymphoma research projects for support.

I am honored to receive the LSRMP award as I prepare to begin my faculty appointment at Washington University in July 2026 with a focus on lymphoma. This program provides dedicated mentorship, protected time, and national collaboration that will directly support my work developing a clinical trial utilizing personalized neoantigen vaccines for patients with follicular lymphoma. Our goal is to help patients achieve longer remissions with fewer treatment-related toxicities, and I believe this study represents an important step toward that vision.
