Vision

Advancing the Workforce in Medicine (AWAM) works to achieve equitable career advancement for faculty in the Department of Medicine at WashU Medicine. 

Summary

Advancing the Workforce in Medicine (AWAM) is part of a comprehensive strategy within the Department of Medicine to enhance the professional advancement of faculty. The program works closely with IDEAS at Department of Medicine and partners with the Future Workforce in Medicine to build an environment that facilitates career achievement of faculty and trainees. Guided by an executive committee with faculty representatives from various divisions, ranks, and tracks within the Department of Medicine, AWAM is a driving force for providing opportunities for professional development, supporting for career advancement, and creating a workplace culture that values collaboration and excellence.
