As the academic year comes to a close, it’s been wonderful to reflect on the many transitions this year.

Dr. Namrata Patel has stepped into the FWIM director role with enthusiasm, determination, and innovative ideas! The newly assembled AWAM Executive Committee with members from divisions across the department met monthly over the past year to create new processes, organize programming, and develop a strategic plan.

Congratulations to Dr. Patricia Litkowski for being selected to attend the AAMC Early Career Women Faculty Development Program with funding provided by The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and the Office of Faculty Promotions & Career Development at WashU to participate in this seminar.

Forum for Women in Medicine (FWIM)

FWIM Trainee Leadership Development Program Graduation (FLDP): Congratulations to the 2nd cohort of graduates of the FLDP. The longitudinal program provides our next generation of women with critical skills to lead effectively and build a network of support.

FWIM Fitness Event: We hosted our inaugural wellness event on May 30th, a Body Attack class taught by our very own Antara Dattagupta, PGY-1.  Participants donated goods to a local women’s shelter.
