Executive Committee Member for Advancing Women’s Careers

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate faculty members to join the newly formed Executive Committee for advancing women’s careers. As a committee member, you will play a pivotal role in advancing gender equity with the Department of Medicine, working closely with the Vice Chair for the Advancement of Women’s Careers. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in academia.

Responsibilities:

  1. Attend Monthly Meetings: As an active participant on the Executive Committee, you will be expected to attend monthly meetings to engage in discussions, collaborate with fellow members, and contribute to the decision-making process.
  2. Strategic Planning: Work closely with the committee to develop a comprehensive strategic plan.
  3. Goal Prioritization: Advocate for a transparent and evidence-based approach to prioritize goals. Identifying high-impact initiatives will be essential to ensure our efforts yield meaningful results.
  4. Active Engagement in Work Groups: Actively participate in workgroups to implement recommendations.
  5. Act as a Liaison to Your Division: Communicate the committee’s initiatives, progress, and outcomes to your division and encourage their active involvement in the advancement of gender equity.
  6. Three-Year Term: The Executive Committee Member position entails a three-year term commitment, ensuring continuity and stability in our endeavors.
