Earlier this week, you received an email from Washington University leadership announcing the importance of getting your influenza vaccine this season. Per university policy, any Washington University employee, including faculty, staff and trainees, working onsite for any period of time must receive this year’s influenza vaccination, unless granted an exemption for medical reasons or religious beliefs. Students and contractors have a similar requirement. As a part of this influenza policy, those faculty, staff and trainees who are working from home remotely are strongly encouraged to get a flu vaccine. Flu vaccination is required should you return to a work site during the flu season (through March 31) for ANY reason.
