The WashU Medicine is committed to a tripartite mission of achieving excellence in patient care, research and education. To underscore the importance of the educational mission, the WashU Medicine Department of Medicine offers a series of clinician educator training programs through the WashU Teaching Physician Pathway (WUTPP). For general internists, WUTPP offers a 2-year fellowship in medical education that leads to a Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE). For medical specialty fellows, there are options for both a 1-year Clinician Educator Track Certificate program, and a 2-year fellowship in medical education resulting in completion of an MHPE degree.
