Dr. Robert Case joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as an Assistant Professor in July 2024. His main clinical interests are pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease. His primary role will be in the outpatient management of these conditions. There is a substantial population of patients who suffer from a combination of PH and ILD.
He is interested in caring for this population and advancing their care through clinical trials, quality improvement and clinical research. During fellowship, he worked closely with their senior ILD faculty to develop a registry database for ILD patients. Over time, they planned to utilize the registry to highlight patients for clinical trials, conduct research and to identify areas for quality improvement. His key interests are pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease. My other main interest is in medical education. I am energized by clinical teaching and frequently volunteer as a facilitator for simulated workshops and other clinical teaching opportunities with learners.
