Leadership Announcements

As we settle into the new academic year, we are excited to welcome a new cohort of program leaders to our DOM Residency and Fellowship programs. We look forward to collaborating with our new leaders on educational innovations within the Department of Medicine!   • Academy of Educators Mentorship Best Practices Workshop Series
    Multi-date series starting September 3, 2024
    Mid Campus Center and Farrell Learning & Teaching Center The Academy of Educators is pleased to offer a four-part Mentorship series that will discuss best practices, skill building, culturally responsive mentorship, mentoring across identities, and mentorship challenges. The series is geared towards clinical faculty who work with learners, and we welcome a diversity of experiences. Learn more and register.
  • Job Negotiation for Fellows – Hosted by the DOM Fellows Council and FWIM
    Thursday, September 26, 2024, 5:00-7:00pm
    Wohl Auditorium, Lower Level Wohl Hospital
    Fellows are invited to learn more about the process of selecting a job, negotiating with future employers, and reviewing employment contracts. Registration is open to all Department of Medicine fellows. Dinner will be provided. More details to come.
  • Education Day – Hosted by the Academy of Educators

  • Foundations in Teaching Skills (FITS) Certificate Program
    Deadline: 9/10/2024
    The Academy of Educators is currently accepting applications for the Foundation in Teaching Skills (FITS) Certificate Program. This program focuses on providing instruction in foundational teaching skills and establishing a community of educators. Learn more about the program and apply.
  • Leadership in Education Administration Program (LEAP)
    Submission dates: 9/3/24 – 11/15/24
    Applications open soon for the Academy of Educators’ new Leadership in Education Administration Program (LEAP). This program aims to provide knowledge and applied skills to support leadership development focused on health professions education contexts. The program is open to all WashU Medicine faculty.
