Intern of the Month
Dr. Taylor Wilson
I am inpatient right now and taking care of a patient that Dr. Taylor Wilson cares for in the PCMC. She has a number of chronic medical issues which are lifestyle-limiting and require ongoing follow-up. She is delighted to be seen by Dr. Wilson, and she couldn’t stop singing her praises as we saw her. She describes Dr. Wilson as thorough—”she never misses anything!”—as well as thoughtful, considerate of her concerns, and caring for her with a wonderful bedside (exam-table-side?) manner. I was so happy to behold all her appreciation for Dr. Wilson!

Intern of the Month
Dr. Spencer Macleod
Spencer was a fantastic resident to work with on my first block as a senior on firm. He made my transition to being a senior very easy. His tasks were always completed very early. All consults would be called and all families would be updated before I even had the chance to tell him. His clinical reasoning is very strong and he excels in critical situations. One time, Spencer arrived to a code before the rest of the ACT team and was leading rescucitation efforts until the rest of the team arrived. Spencer is also very skilled at dealing with difficult social and family situations. He was able to successfully work with a patient with FND and PNES and his family to get him safety after two months in the hospital. Spencer is an extremely strong intern and he will be a great senior resident next year!

Resident of the Month
Dr. Delaney Feldeisen
I had the pleasure of working with Delaney on night float firm. She was absolutely phenomenal teaching the interns and guiding them through the admission process. She also really brightened up the room with her jokes and humor during a long and difficult shift. I hope to work with her again!

Resident of the Month
Dr. Amy Zhao
Amy went above and beyond to direct admit a medically complex, non-English speaking patient from AMBJAR. This was a super challenging case of a patient who was not able to be medically optimized in the outpatient setting despite close follow-up. Amy was patient and thorough while seeing this patient and made sure the patient received the care she needed.

Resident of the Month
Dr. Mohamed Dbouk
He went above and beyond to coordinate care for a clinic patient with home safety concerns – he is constantly advocating for his patients and has fierce ownership of his relationship with them. It is clear that he cares deeply about his patients .
Mohamad rose to the occasion in the COH when two ACTs were called over lunch. Our wonderful AMBJAR resident was already occupied with the first one, and nursing did not have a formal backup for coverage. They found Mohamad charting in the workroom and he offered to help, no questions asked. Our nursing and patient thank him greatly!
