New MD Clinical Fellowship in Translational Sciences

Washington University’s Center for Clinical Research Training – Translational Sciences Postdoctoral Program – a new and exciting clinical and translational research opportunity for physicians who are engaged in a clinical fellowship at Washington University.

The Translational Sciences Postdoctoral Program (TSPP) is part of the WU Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) and is supported by our Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). The objective of the TSPP is to demystify the processes of commercialization of new technology/translational discoveries by physician-scientists and to learn how to move projects to the next stage of commercialization and establish value-creating milestones, costs, and timelines.

Applicants will work with select mentors and senior staff in the Office of Technology Management (OTM), Skandalaris Center, Center for Research Innovation in Biotechnology (CRIB), and/or BioGenerator to receive the necessary guidance and support for their application and research training. Accepted trainees will be active members of the mentor’s laboratory and participate in internship and externship opportunities. Each selected trainee will receive:

  • Stipend for two years (up to PGY 3)
  • Research-related expenses and travel allowanc
  • Paid health insurance benefit
  • Coursework in clinical and translational research
