The WashU Internal Medicine Residency Program invites fourth-year medical students to apply for this year’s Gateway to Residency Program hosted on August 23, 2024.

Gateway to Residency is an opportunity for students planning to apply into internal medicine. Through the program you will participate in a highly focused workshop that will prepare you for a successful residency application cycle.

You will have the opportunity to hear from our Program Director, as well as other prominent Department of Medicine faculty members. They will share expert advice on topics such as personal statements, answering interview questions, and showcasing your diversity!

You will also hear from a panel of current residents who are ready to answer all your questions about our amazing training program.

We know that the residency application process is a daunting challenge for a II fourth-year students. By participating in the Gateway to Residency Program, you will enter the cycle confident that you have the skills for a successful match.

Participation is by application only and limited to a select number of applicants.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited US medical school, or have graduated from an MD/DO program
  • Plan to enter the 2024 ERAS cycle
  • Submit the linked application
  • Provide a faculty letter of support and current CV
  • Deadline to apply is 5PM CST on 8/9/24
