Dr. Yazan Al Jabiri joined the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine, as an Instructor in July 2023.
Born and raised in Jordan, he earned his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2016, where he attended on a full academic scholarship. After beginning his internal medicine training in Jordan, he moved to the United States in 2020 to continue his medical education and completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in New York before joining the faculty. During residency, Dr. Al Jabiri served as one of the leaders of the simulation center, where he developed a strong passion for medical education and enjoyed teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Al Jabiri has been actively involved in clinical research, with a particular focus on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and outcome-based epidemiologic research using large national healthcare databases. His research aims to identify evidence-based interventions that improve patient care and clinical outcomes. Outside of medicine, Dr. Al Jabiri enjoys spending time with his family and friends, swimming, traveling, and exploring restaurants from different cultures. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while advancing research and medical education as a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.
