Dr. Yazan Al Jabiri joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine as an Instructor in July of 2023. He was born and raised in Jordan. He received his medical degree in 2016 from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He started his internal medicine residency in Jordan but later moved to the USA in 2020 for his internal medicine career. He was awarded a full scholarship for his bachelor’s degree at JUST from 2010-2016. Dr. Al Jabiri completed his internship and residency at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in New York prior to joining the division in 2023. He has had varied interests and participated in many projects during his training. He enjoys teaching and working with both medical students and residents.
During his residency training, Dr. Al Jabiri was honored to be one of the leaders of the simulation lab, where he was able to develop many skills in medical education and teaching. Dr. Al Jabiri has been highly involved in several research activities during his training years with a focus on Meta-Analysis/Systematic reviews and has various peer reviewed publications. His current areas of interest are general internal medicine with a focus on inpatient care and quality improvement. He has a special interest in gastroenterology and Meta-Analysis/Systematic reviews research projects. Outside of medicine, Dr. Al Jabiri enjoys spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants from different cultures and cooking. He looks forward to providing care for his patients as a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.
