Victoria Soncasie, MD

Dr. Victoria Soncasie joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine as an Instructor with a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hospital Medicine as of July 2026.

Dr. Soncasie grew up in St. Louis prior to attending Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, where she graduated summa cum laude with Bachelors of Science in Biology and Spanish. Returning to her hometown, she attended medical school at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Outside of her studies and clinical work, she dedicated her time to working on the operations of the school of medicine’s student-run free health clinic to provide healthcare to medically underserved people in the St. Louis area as well as to coaching elementary school cross country and track and field. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and was selected as an officer for the Class of 2022 prior to graduation.

Dr. Soncasie completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. While in training, she served on her residency’s wellness committee, competed in regional American College of Physician poster competitions, and discovered her passion for teaching medical students and residents. She is dedicated to excellence, clinical reasoning, and delivering high value care to her patients. In her free time, she enjoys discovering new coffee shops, playing pickleball, reading, and climbing. Dr. Soncasie looks forward to returning to the St. Louis area and growing with the Wash U hospitalist team to serve the community that raised her.
