Dr. Vanessa Kung joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases as an Assistant Professor as of August 2026.
Dr. Kung completed MD, PhD training at the University of Wisconsin, internal medicine residency at Emory University, and infectious disease fellowship at the University of Colorado. In 2023-2026, she was the Deputy Director of Infection Prevention & Hospital Epidemiology for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She currently serves as Director of Infection Prevention for Washington University in St Louis.
