Dr. Sabrina Nunez, Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Medical Education Division of the Department of Medicine was selected by Erika, C. Crouch, MD, PhD, chair, Samuel R. Goldstein Leadership Awards in Medical Student Education selection committee and the entire selection committee as a 2017 Samuel R. Goldstein Leadership Awards recipient. Goldstein Leadership Awards are among the highest form of faculty honors at Washington University School of Medicine. Receiving this special award acknowledges excellent work and guidance, an integral role as a teacher and mentor, and ongoing commitment to medical students. The award confers $10,000 honorarium, which will demonstrate Washington University School of Medicine’s sincere appreciation of Dr. Nunez’ many efforts on behalf of the students and the School.
Along with other distinguished WUSM faculty, Dr. Nunez will be recognized at the annual Distinguished Faculty Awards Ceremony planned for Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 5:00 pm in the Eric P. Newman Education Center (EPNEC) Main Auditorium, with a reception following the ceremony. Additionally, a dinner will be planned for the spring to honor the three 2017 Goldstein Leadership Awardees.
