Dr. Mahshid Mohseni

Dr. Mohseni completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, WV and fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. During fellowship, she was involved in a clinical trial assessing the effect of liraglutide on epicardial fat in patients with type 2 diabetes.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.

She completed an advanced clinical fellowship training in Metabolic bone disorders at Washington University in St. Louis and joined Washington University department of medicine as clinical faculty in the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases in July 2017. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research. Her research has been presented at different national meetings.

Her main clinical interests are bone densitometry, osteoporosis, fragility fractures, and disorders of calcium metabolism. Her main research interests are fragility fractures and premenopausal and postmenopausal osteoporosis. She is currently involved as an investigator in a multi-center multinational clinical trial assessing the effect of a new medication for the treatment of adults with osteogenesis imperfecta.
