Dr. Maamoun Salam joins the Department of Medicine

Dr. Maamoun Salam joined the Department of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipid Research in July, 2018.

His journey with medicine started at Damascus University, Faculty of Medicine, Damascus, Syria. After graduation, he moved to the United States and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Afterward, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine and worked as a Hospitalist at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. He then moved to Saint Louis, Missouri in 2016 to complete his clinical fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Washington University.  He was then appointed to the Faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipid Research at Washington University in 2018.
