Dr. Humaira Naseer joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology as an Instructor on January 1, 2019.
Dr. Humaira Khalid Naseer received her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1978. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina from 1993 to 1995. She then completed her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. from 1996 to 1998. From 1999-2000, she was the Director of Endocrinology at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California. She then became the Chief of the Division of Endocrinology at Welcare Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006, she then went into Private Practice in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From 2006 to 2007, she was an Attending Endocrinologist in Clinton, Iowa. From 2007 to 2014, she was an endocrinologist at the St. Louis Medical Clinic. She has been an Endocrinologist at the St. Louis John Cochran VA Medical Center since May of 2014. Dr. Naseer’s Washington University School of Medicine appointment recognizes her contributions in which she teaches the endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellows during their rotation in the general endocrinology and diabetes clinics at the John Cochran VA Medical Center. She has been named as one of the top Endocrinologists in the USA and has been on the St. Louis Top Doctor’s List for several years. She is a regular speaker at women forums, osteoporosis awareness month and annual diabetes day each year. She currently supervises and teaches residents and fellows at the St. Louis VA Hospital.
