Dr. Haris Murad joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2019.
Dr. Murad received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.; B.S. from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan in 2012. After one year as a research associate in pediatric rheumatology, Dr. Murad then moved to the United States, where he undertook internal medicine training at the Cleveland Clinic. From 2016-2018, he was a nephrology fellow at Yale University and he stayed on for further training as a transplant nephrology fellow since July 1, 2018. He will finish his transplant fellowship at Yale on June 20, 2019.
Dr. Murad is trained in both general and transplant nephrology. He has received uniformly positive references from colleagues at the Cleveland Clinic and at Yale. His fellowship director at Yale stated that his performance on the in service exam was above the 99th percentile. All of his attendings have highlighted his clinical insight, his unflappable nature and his work ethic.
