Dr. Gregory Ogunnowo joins the Department of Medicine

Dr. Gregory Ogunnowo joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine as an Instructor in July, 2019.

Dr. Gregory Ogunnowo was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University Honors College and graduated Summa Cum Laude, with Research Honors Distinction, and Distinction in Department of Biological Science in 2011. While at Georgia State, Dr. Ogunnowo conducted research in Immunology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Columbia in 2016 and went on to complete residency training in Internal Medicine at Washington University/BJH Consortium. Dr. Ogunnowo has an interest in cardiology, specifically outcomes research, and during his residency training he worked closely with Interventional Cardiology. He was involved in an institutional TVAR quality database and was also involved in analyzing one of the largest retrosprective specialty balloon databases. Dr. Ogunnowo also enjoys participating in resident and medical student education.
