Dr. Chunjie Li joins the Department of Medicine joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Oncology as an Assistant Professor as of July 2025.
Dr. Li is one of the gastrointestinal medical oncologists at WashU. His main research interests focus on translational research and clinical studies to develop novel medications and therapies for treating metastatic biliary tract cancers by targeting fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) and other signaling pathways and enhancing immunotherapy. He studied FGFR expression and localization in biliary tract cancers, correlative to clinical responses to tyrosine kinase inhibitors and immunotherapy.
Meanwhile, he is dedicated to developing novel medications, treatments, and combination strategies, such as cyclical therapy and individualized maintenance therapy, to improve patients’ clinical outcomes in biliary tract cancer.
