Dr. Bethany Prudner joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Oncology as an Instructor on January 1, 2019.
Dr. Prudner came to Washington University in 2016 from The Ohio State University, and this allowed for her to concentrate her postdoctoral training in sarcoma research. She received her Phd from Kent State University in 2013. During her first postdoctoral fellowship she trained with a renowned sarcoma surgeon at OSU, followed by a second postdoctoral fellowship at WUSTL in 2016. This fellowship allowed for her to specialize her skill set in sarcoma research. At WUSTL she trained with Dr. Brian Van Tine in the concentration of metabolic alterations within subsets of sarcoma. Her research focuses on utilizing fundamental metabolic alterations within cohorts of this disease to answer translational questions regarding the incidence and treatment of sarcoma.
