Dr. Autumn Holmes joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases as an instructor in March of 2025. Her research interests include understanding how the cell types that are susceptible to RNA virus infection influence infection outcomes in the host. Specifically, she is interested in how events that occur during early virus replication set the trajectory of the infection at later time points. She is also interested in how different virus-permissive cells interact to influence virus replication in specific tissue compartments.
