Dr. Alexander O. Everhart joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of General Medical Sciences as an instructor as of July 2023. He received his PhD in Health Services Research, Policy, and Administration with an emphasis in Health Economics from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, he was a fellow at the Harvard-MIT Center for Regulatory Science. Dr. Everhart uses the tools of economics to study what drives the development and adoption of safe and effective medical technologies. His key interests are health economics, health policy, health services research, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, physician decision making, innovation in medical technology, diffusion of medical technology, regulatory science.
