Dr. Andrea Davis joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine as an Assistant Professor as of August 2026.
Dr. Andrea Davis received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University, where she also served as Chief Resident. She completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Davis’s clinical and research interests focus on the management of asthma and other chronic pulmonary diseases during pregnancy. Her work examines the safety and effectiveness of advanced asthma therapies, including biologic agents, in pregnant patients, with the goal of improving maternal and fetal outcomes. She collaborates closely with colleagues in Maternal–Fetal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology to advance multidisciplinary care and address critical evidence gaps in the management of moderate-to-severe asthma in pregnancy.
At WashU, she is developing a multidisciplinary Pulmonary–Obstetrics program to improve care for pregnant patients with respiratory disease and to expand research in perinatal pulmonary health.
