The Washington University Pulmonary Vascular Symposium is collaboratively planned by physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

This two-day symposium comprises a one-day Pulmonary Hypertension Conference and a one-day Venous Thromboembolic Conference. Attendees have the option to participate in one or both days. The primary goal of this event is to enhance the knowledge, skills, performance, and patient care related to pulmonary vascular disease.

  • Pulmonary Hypertension Conference – Friday, September 26, 2025
    This conference is tailored for pulmonologists, cardiologists, intensivists, rheumatologists, hematologists, hospitalists, radiologists, thoracic surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals who evaluate and manage patients with pulmonary hypertension. This 6.75-hour live course will feature plenary lectures, breakout sessions, case presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions. The activity will emphasize best practices across the spectrum of pulmonary hypertension disorders.
  • Venous Thromboembolic Conference – Saturday, September 27, 2025
    This conference is designed for pulmonologists, critical care physicians, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, hematologists, emergency room physicians, cardiac surgeons, hospitalists, primary care physicians, nurses, and pharmacists. It may also interest other healthcare providers who care for venous thromboembolic patients. This 6.5-hour live course will include lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions. The activity will focus on best practices across the spectrum of venous thromboembolic diseases and their long-term sequelae.
