Department of Medicine Faculty Honored
Sponsored by the Academy of Educators, the annual Education Day was held on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, to celebrate educational excellence across the School of Medicine.
This year’s theme was The Future of Healthcare Education. The event featured a variety of educational workshops and roundtables, a keynote address from Adam Rodman, MD, MPH, FACP, Hospitalist, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School, Co-Director, iMED Initiative at BIDMC whose keynote address was: “Large Language Models for the Medical Educator: What’s Hype, What’s Here, and What’s Next.” In addition a celebration of thirty-two new inductees (eight from the Department of Medicine) to the Academy of Educators plus nine education award recipients. A poster session with time for networking wrapped up the day.
We have so much to celebrate, from the impressive accomplishments and contributions of our members to the vibrant energy of our recent Education Day. Education Day was a resounding success– filled with inspiring moments, outstanding content, and a palpable sense of community! Looking ahead, we are thrilled to welcome our new members into the AoE community and support their ongoing success.
