Dr. Emma Ludwig joined the Department of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine and Geriatrics as an Assistant Professor in July 2024. She received her Internal Medicine training at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, in which she is board certified. She is currently training in Geriatrics at Washington University School of Medicine with a primary endpoint goal of primary care. In her clinical practice, she strives to maintain patient independence and quality of life through patient-centered preventive care and management of comorbidities. Dr. Ludwig has a passion for teaching others about Geriatric medicine and associated principles. Her key interests are preventive care, cognitive impairment, depression, risk assessment and prevention of falls; mitigating polypharmacy, advanced care planning and patient advocacy.
