Erika Rangel, MD, MS from Massachusetts General Hospital
Dr. Rangel is a general surgeon and surgical intensivist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she also serves as the Associate Program Director. Her academic interest centers on defining the challenges facing surgeons starting a family, demonstrating how these impact burnout and career dissatisfaction, and using evidence to inform policy change to better support alignment of personal and professional priorities. Her work and advocacy on parental leave, organizational culture surrounding parenthood, and maternal-fetal health risks related to professional duties.
