Christopher Prater, MD joined the Department of Medicine on August 1, 2017 as in Instructor in the Division of Medical Education.
Christopher Prater, MD completed his combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware in 2014. Since then, he has worked in primary care with a focus on immigrant and refugee healthcare. He co-founded and participated in the global health track at Christiana Care, and continues his dedication to the field of global health education at Washington University in St. Louis, where he has a leadership role in the global health pathway for residents. He is currently enrolled as a part-time Masters in Public Health student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with an anticipated graduation in 2018-2019. His interests include clinical care of immigrants and refugees and research that includes refugee health issues, especially latent tuberculosis in the community health setting.
