The Department of Medicine’s annual Intern Welcome Party, was graciously hosted this year at the home of Dr. Victoria Fraser, the esteemed Adolphus Busch Professor of Medicine and department chair.
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, more than 50 incoming interns, representing institutions from across the country, gathered for an evening of informal introductions and camaraderie. The event provided a relaxed atmosphere for the new cohort to connect with one another over a selection of refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Beyond meeting their fellow interns, the gathering also offered a valuable opportunity for them to engage in conversation with various faculty members and senior peers within the Department of Medicine.
This annual get-together serves as an important icebreaker, allowing the new Department of Medicine interns to establish connections and build rapport before the official commencement of the academic year. It helps fosters a sense of community and helps ease their transition into their demanding residency programs.
The Department of Medicine extends its warmest wishes for success to all the new interns as they embark on their journey at WashU Medicine.
