to allocate scarce resources. Given this broad definition\, we are negotia
ting constantly—whether over big-ticket items such as salary or large purch
ases or daily items such as how we use our time. Women face particular chal
lenges in negotiation\, based on differences in approaches to the task and
to relationships with other parties\, as well as differences in how they ar
e perceived by the other side. This session will be interactive\, with an e
xperiential exercise as well as a lecture on basic frameworks of negotiatio
n analysis at a general level and gender differences in particular.

<
